Melbourne Career Expo July 2022

Category: AINDT News

The expo encompasses all career opportunities from employment to education and training in the trades,as well as corporate and professional sectors. Held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, the Melbourne Career Expo took place over three days from Friday 15 til Sunday 17 July 2022. AINDT enjoyed hosting their first stand in a while (since COVID) and it was wonderful to represent our industry and educate a very targeted demographic of students looking for a career path, and also mature aged students looking for a career change. Exhibitor guests enjoyed live demonstrations of NDT with equipment supplied from Evident. We thank Evident for supporting this event and creating an engaging exhibition stand for participants.

We also officially launched the AINDT Introduction to NDT & CM video, to the general public. The first main video of an 8-part series was internally launched in mid-July 2022 to the AINDT membership, then to the public at the Melbourne Career Expo.

Visitors to our stand had many questions ranging from which subjects they should be studying at high school to get into NDT, what are the benefits of NDT as a career path, to what kind of things are inspected and tested. Feedback from attendees was very positive, and we are hopeful that we have sparked the interest of those who stopped by for a chat.

A big thank you to AINDT’s dedicated federal office team members who represented AINDT over the 3-day event; Uma Sudhakar- our Finance, IT and overall AINDT member knowledge-based whizz and our Certification and administration specialist, Juandri Potgieter.Thank you to the VIC branch crew who attended to lend a hand, and in particular Paul Trigg for showing our new recruits the hands-on live demonstrations with the latest Evident NDT Equipment.
