Is it possible to upgrade from AINDT MPI level 2 general to AINDT MPI level 2 weld specific without examination if recently passed MPI PCN level 2 welds?

There are 3 questions here-

1. Can you upgrade from MT (or PT) Level 2 General to MT (or PT) level 2 Multisector? - Yes, by making Application for Certification and sitting the Multisector Specific and Practical examinations.

We do not normally certify in Welds for MT or PT, unless the applicant has weld specific from the likes of PCN.

2. Do we recognise PCN certification? - Yes, provided it has not expired, and then only up to the expiry date of the PCN certificate, after which renewal is provided in the AINDT scheme.

3. Do we recognise PCN examinations for certification? - not normally unless the person has current PCN certification.
