MISSION STATEMENT: To provide members, industry and the community with an independent and professional level of service in relation to the science and practice of nondestructive testing.

1. Promote the discipline of NDT as a profession to industry and the community.

1B Maintain an AINDT Operations and Quality Manual.
1C Promote the benefits of AINDT membership.

2. Ensure AINDT has a sound financial base to continue its services to its membership.
2A Maintain sufficient funds to continue AINDT services.
2B Expansion of revenue and membership base.
2C Investment of certain financial resources in the development of better services to members and the NDT community.

3. Facilitate the exchange of information between AINDT between members, organisations and overseas organisations.

3B Continue representation on organizations such as:

• Standards Australia
• AICIP

3C Maintain a high quality journal for distribution to members

4. Provide services for the qualification and certification of personnel.
4A Continually establish the market needs related to the needs of industry sectors offered by AINDT.
4B. Maintain the Certification Board certification scheme in accordance with ISO 17024.
4C Market and promote international recognition of AINDT certification.

5. To facilitate and promote NDT R&D and application of NDT.
5A Enhanced cooperation regarding NDT activities between organisations such as ANSTO, CSIRO and AMRL
5B Identify current research and encourage dissemination of information via NDT Australia.
5C Encourage participation in Branch, Federal and International meetings, seminars and conferences.
