Working Background and AINDT Interests
Pranay works for LMATS, an independent accredited testing and inspection laboratory. For the past 20 years, he has worked in an overseas large-scale automotive industry and in a small to medium scale testing industry in Australia.
Currently, Pranay is working in third party inspection, pressure vessel conformity assessment, MDR review and NATA accredited metallurgical services, chemical analysis, PMI, corrosion resistance tests, mechanical tests, hydrostatic tests and non-destructive tests.
At AINDT, Pranay enjoys working with NDT practitioners from different states who have differing opinions in the NDT world, but one common goal for AINDT. He believes they all want to see AINDT grow, have its own global brand and reputation as one of the best organised Certification Bodies in the world. At AINDT he has enjoyed learning from people in different fields and sharing their experiences, from aerospace to the nuclear reactor industry and to the quality certification organisation. Pranay has been a member of AINDT since 2004 and involved in the AINDT governance since 2006. He has been one of the Federal Executive and Directors of
AINDT since 2009. Before becoming AINDT Federal Vice-President, Pranay served as the Federal Treasurer, Federal Secretary, Federal Councillor from Victoria, Victorian Branch Secretary and the Branch Councillor.
After becoming involved in AINDT, he has contributed in various governance matters taking a pivotal role in establishing the AINDT office in Melbourne, taking over the Secretariat from Materials Australia and then assisting the newly formed Federal Office in implementing an effective and efficient system for financial management of the Institute. Pranay hopes to contribute more in the coming years as President.
